flat cats turned into bunnies

i decided to make my flat cats into flat bunnies. and they're not really flat at all. but i still like them. i did the face on the little one on the day that Hazel died. So, it's a sad bunny - but kinda looks like a vampire bunny.

anyway, evie is still in training to be my knitting model. evie is doing much better today. even frolicked for a few seconds with her favorite bone. then we asked her if she wanted to go on a walk and she barked, "YES YES YES!" in her high-pitched excited way. i think she was looking for hazel the whole time. it's truly heartbreaking, this losing hazel thing. but today i do feel a bit lighter. i think i could be nearing the acceptance stage. lucy is marinating in the bargaining stage right now. but we both backslide in some moments and extreme sadness and anger bubble up.








i'm thinking of doing a pig and piglets next...should be made up just like this pattern, but i'd attach the legs to the belly. and make a curly-q tail (Ivy's Mama will need to show me that trick) fun!
