25ish weeks + some knitting
on the needles now, a flat cat - do you see the white shoes and pink pants? i'll be working on the body next which will be red. it'll be stuffed with fabric scraps and will look like a real stuffed cat - but it's knit up in a flat fashion. cool, eh?

we were gifted with some amazing oilcloth - the real deal all the way from Mexico. So, I made up some changing pads. Next on the machine will be a diaper bag for quick outings with a drawstring/cloth top to hold everything in securely. And then a couple bibs. Sooooo much sewing to finish before chickadee arrives! eeeek!
a pink fuzzy baby hat (i made a similar one for chickadee's new little friend in the belly, Vera River - but Vera hasn't made her appearance yet.)
say hello to chickadee!
my only complaint this week is the incredible heartburn. oy. not fun. but it's amazing how one can actually fall asleep while sitting upright in bed. that usually helps. nothing compares to the hangover i had for the first 18 weeks. so, i'll take the heartburn, thank you! i keep imagining this baby has lots of dark hair, so we'll see if the old wives tale about heartburn comes true for us. we learned this week that if chickadee is a boy, his testicles are beginning to descend into his scrotum — a trip that will take about two to three days. wow! either way, our chickadee now measures about 13 1/2 inches and weighs a pound and a half.
our little friend Ezra loves to hear about what chickadee is doing inside - I keep telling him about all the bumping and jumping around and he loves it!
and check out this blog post someone sent me! i've been put to shame. these cupcakes are AMAZING!
