knitting

since ivy's mama taught me how to knit, i've been on a scarf frenzy and have been busy stocking up on knitting supplies: yarn, needles of all different sizes, stitch counters, etc.

i'm finding how darn therapeutic knitting can be. it's so wonderful. i love the mindfulness ascpet of it.

I do miss sewing though. my next sewing project will be to make a knitting needle case. i'm still researching all the options out there (etsy is DANGEROUS!). goddess knows i've got TONS of fabric options.

So far I've complete three knitting projects. My first project was a weird, gathered, one-sided apron thing. But when Hazel saw it, she declared it a toy! So we let her have it.

Then I knitted a scarf for Lucy's Mom, Lou, in honor of her Daddy. I didn't get pictures of it, but it was red boucle and it was really yummy and knobby and soft and such a pleasure to knit up. I used sz 11 bamboo needles.

And the third thing I knitted is a black boucle scarf. Hazel is wearing it here:

So, there you have it. My blog update for this evening.
