the answer is ....................neither.
not pregnant and not an eating disorder.
maybe it's the probiotics that are helping aid my digestion so powerfully that i feel hungry. or maybe my progesterone is so darn powerful that it tricks my body into thinking it's pregnant two weeks of every month.
and if you're totally confused about this blog entry, see *this* one.
big sigh.
now for craft news. i stocked up on embroidery thread this weekend (5/$1 at Joann's - my satellite craft office). see all the lovely colors?

i properly wound each little skein of thread (is that what you call embroidery thread?) onto a little plastic card. apparently this is what you're supposed to do once you buy it. why don't they just sell it on the plastic cards to begin with? it's a great midfulness activity. winding, winding, breathing, winding, damn there's a knot, breathing, winding, knot, breathing.....
so, i did this threading activity while Lucy watched the Texas/OU game on Saturday afternoon. Lucy's dad and mom had a ritual of kissing every time Texas made a touchdown. So, there I am, winding thread, breathing, winding thread, and trying to learn about football and then Lucy would squeal with delight at the TV at something Texas did and I'd ask, "do we kiss now?" really funny. Bless Miss Lucy, she tried to explain first downs and touch downs, and hike and all that. but i'm missing that set of football neurons in my brain. i just can't seem to get it all down. Texas won. by a mile. that much i do know.
back to embroidery: i'm designing my own emroidery sampler pattern. it's basically the "300,000 mothers giving birth each day" quote from Birthing From Within. i'll make some changes to the border, maybe more flowy and flowery. i'm eager to start working on it when i go on my Birthing From Within retreat in just a few weeks. it will be SIX DAYS away from email and phones and the hurried life I live. SIX DAYS spent in delicious reverence, soaking up deeper concepts of Birthing From Within with about 20 other mentors. SIX DAYS at lovely Ghost Ranch, New Mexico. did i mention it's SIX DAYS?
i'm in desperate need of a break. i need to recharge in a big, big way. life has been a bit much lately.
that is all for today.
