babies + food: my two favorite things

in the craft arena, i have a few things to report:

#1. i learned to knit! thank you to Ivy's mama!

#2. i am applique-ing flannel birdies onto white onesies. one of the birdies is "holding" red thread in his mouth, as if he's collecting for a nest. the red thread is recycled from a woven belt that lucy cut. surprise surprise. she cut it and then learned to sew it. i was standing over her (bird-doggin' we call it) the whole time, wringing by hands while she used my precious sewing machine.

#3. did i mention i learned to knit?

#4. i have so many craft/sewing ideas and so little time. sigh.
