what i'm reading right now
add this to the tippy top of my book list:
The New Essential Guide to Lesbian Conception, Pregnancy, & Birth
by Stephanie Brill

but my breastfeeding advocate wants to know why they chose a pacifer for the front cover graphic. there are so many BEAUTIFUL photos in the book - how come they couldn't depict a real-life pregnant lesbian on the front?
some day when i write my own book about hatching our chickadee, i'll put a beautiful, round belly photo on the front cover. definitely not a crusty, latex pacifer.
this book is the absolute bible (next to Taking Charge of Your Fertility) for lesbians making a family. It has a heavy emphasis on preparation, both psychological and physiological, for conception. It's like having a midwife in your back pocket. The herbal and supplemental info is stellar. Invaluable resource, even if the cover graphic sucks. literally. tee heee. snort. gigglefits.
