milestones...

1. big smiles!

Mr. Hugh is just full of smiles. He's such a happy baby, especially in the morning. This week has definitely been a turning point as his smiles are full of sincerity and meaning, with lots of eye contact.

2. peeing standing up

see also #3. But, in our weekly pooping in the tub ritual, Hugh demonstrated peeing standing up. We had to drain the tub as it was full of poo and I had him standing in the bottom of the tub while Lucy cleaned up the poo bits. We were both laughing hysterically, when we both noticed his whole body was still and he started peeing! standing up! it was very cute.

3. giant poo in the tub

our boy prefers to poop in the tub. that's ok. but it's proving to be quite a big production sometimes and we don't have our lovey dovey moments in the tub because i'm too worried i'll be swimming in poop soup at any moment. it's not enough worry to keep us from attempting the tub ritual every night....

4. carseat love

Hugh has really protested his car seat from birth. But this week we've turned the corner - everyone knock on wood - because during one of our outings i could hear him COOING in the back seat...

5. cooing!

and that brings us to 5. the milestone of the week is that Mr. Hugh is COOING! it's darling. we enjoy long cooing conversations with one another. Mornings are usually more talkative. Mama lucy is just loving this part.
